absurdity and nausea

It's one thing when a home is destroyed by a natural disaster such as a flood, fire or hurricane. It's another when an older home is torn down simply because it is old. Today I witnessed this 150 year old farm house across the road from my parents' get knocked down in a matter of hours. I realize that not every old building can be saved or should be saved. Still, the sight of such demolition fills me with absurdity and nausea.
