There was the day I drove south for Memorial Day weekend, pulled off the freeway at Pismo, and photographed the beach.
I also took this picture of the Kon Tiki Inn.
Later that day my brother in Venice showed me the house of the late Dennis Hopper...
and then the beach, where we walked past this drum circle...
and then the pier...
and then to The Cow's End Cafe, where I had the best and only carrot-basil smoothie of my life...
...and finally back to his place via the canals.
