An interesting fact that we were told on the train was that the house that served as the Bates home in the Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho is perched on this hill in the middle of Santa Cruz. But according to my research it was filmed at a set at Universal Studios in Hollywood. Maybe this house was part of the inspiration?
This house is currently a home for assisted living.
