Back in South Lake Tahoe, we had dinner at Nikki's Chaat Cafe, one of the most interesting Indian restaurant experiences I have ever had. The place was was packed to the hilt with... Indians. We were possibly the only non-Indians there. It was as though we stepped out of one world, high up in the Sierra Nevada mountains, and into another one. The food was good and very authentic.
