Since it is not always possible to find a Starbucks or other coffee shop off the interstate, we did accept McDonald's as a coffee venue. Just as Motel 6 is taking a foray into the boutique hotel business, McDonald's is now dabbling in specialty coffees and smarter looking, Starbucks-like design.
