the road to Tahoe

Speaking of Lake Tahoe, that was our next destination. We drove for a long time through the high desert, much of it along the Walker River, and much of it looking like this.And rather than messing with too many unfamiliar mountain roads, we went through Nevada...

where we took Highway 50 over the mountains......at last arriving at the cool blue of Lake Tahoe. Even driving into the blazing sun, the lake was cool and blue.
