Sometimes you go to Pacific Grove and it turns out to be a day of beauty, luck, and enjoyment. It also happened to be St. Patrick's Day... did that have something to do with it? A pleasant lunch at Tillie Gorts was followed by rain that forced me into Kate's coat -- a humorous fit -- which was followed by Lighthouse Cinemas, where we saw "The Descendents", which I liked in part because of all the tasteful Hawaiian shirts George Clooney wore (a tasteful Hawaiian shirt is a rare and wonderful thing). The whole day was like that -- one small wonder after another. Even the rain fit into the good spirit of the day.
