Campanile

Sometimes you ascend the Campanile, the most visible landmark on the U.C. Berkeley campus,  for the very first time. Also known as the Sather Tower, the 98 year old structure is supposedly the third tallest clock tower in the world, standing at 307 feet.
  
Of course the view from the top is not too shabby either... Looking west, note San Francisco Bay in the distance below.
And to the south, the pool, the Durant Hotel, and the art museum.
