A real chocolate factory, turning local beans from the Moho River Valley into bars right before our eyes. The production of this chocolate was explained and made visible through a pane of glass (seen below). Cocoa pods were on display, and since it is not every day that I get to handle these pods, I handled one.
The front room also served as a store and cafe. To escape the stifling heat and also help address Kate's terrible headache, we had some sort of cold, caffeinated chocolate drink.
