As far as sand dunes are concerned, the ones at Mesquite Flat near Stovepipe Wells are pretty good. Fourteen square miles of rolling dunes reaching up to 140 feet makes for a nice place to wander around and take in the peaceful, sun-kissed silence.

I adored these dunes. I definitely want to go back to Death Valley.
