Located east of Las Vegas, this place is a world class destination. I'm not sure why they don't tell you about it in school. They should. They should tell you that this is 1) the point where state parks and surrealism overlap 2) a Max Ernst painting come to life, and 3) red rock heaven.
Maybe we don't want it taught in school. It is more fun to be discovered as a hidden jem.
