the Butterfly Garden

The grand finale of the Audubon Insectarium is the Butterfly Garden. Evidently the butterflies are hatched on the premises (below)...
...and released into a Japanese-style garden where they are free to frolic with other critters, including people. Evidently they like rotting banana peels (below). At bottom, the famous Blue Morpho Butterfly, Morpho peleides, which we would later see in Costa Rica.
