The next stop was Placerville, or rather its artsy, historic Old Town...
This is precisely where I was a year ago, when my trek through the gold country on highway 49 deposited me right near the Cozmic Cafe, where I stopped for coffee and discovered their former gold mine turned art gallery... This time the big discovery was Zia's gelato, just down the street.
