The next day was warm, sunny, and full of adventures. After a substantial breakfast at the Blue Angel Cafe, we rented a kayak on the California side and, without realizing it, paddled to a beach on the Nevada side. The sight of our yellow kayak on the beach with lake and mountains was travel magazine cover perfect.
That was followed by lunch at a popular health food restaurant called Sprouts. Later, with the help of clues printed off the Internet, Kate found this letterbox under a rock, behind a burger joint. As letterboxers, we are batting two for two.
From there we drove up the west side of the lake and were rewarded with this fine view of South Lake Tahoe and the beach we kayaked to, appropriately called Nevada Beach, in the far distance.
