Couch Day

If a person wanted to write a history on "the role of the couch" -- both the word and the thing -- as it relates to Pete and Kate, they might start by mentioning Couch Park in Northwest Portland, then move on to the love seat at Cafe Amelie in New Orleans' French Quarter, and the "Orange Couch" in that same city's Faubourg Marigny district. They would also have to include the first couch ever purchased together, seen above as it appeared in Salinas the day it was delivered. The person writing the history might at that point suggest that the day it was delivered, April 6, be declared "Couch Day" in recognition of the role of couches in Pete and Kate's evolutionary relationship.
