Someone suggested we check this place out and I'm glad they did because it was delightful on multiple levels. The driveway itself (above) was an extraordinary descent through walls of rock into the Amargosa Canyon (below), a riparian area managed by the BLM and Nature Conservancy.
Starved out of our minds, we enjoyed a breakfast of date shakes and muffins in the garden (below) before exploring the date farm and surrounding trail system.
The drive there and the dates with their little covers were two of my favorite things of that experience.
