It was refreshing to take an alternative route into Nevada -- something called the Old Spanish Trail -- from which we caught a glimpse of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area (below).
In suburban Las Vegas we somehow managed to find, randomly situated in a random strip mall, a very good coffee shop called Holley's Cuppa. Stumbling upon a good coffee shop is one of my favorite things.
